The Excel show was like Waitrose. Full of old fat men with too much money and no sense of personal space.

And some motorcycles that frankly, mostly, made no sense at all, at all.

One I thing I really hate. Bikes with clip-ons where the bars are part of the top yoke. Don't they know that all motorcycles eventually fall over? Looking at you Ducati (Panigale V2) and Triumph (Daytona 660).

Having said that, the new Panigale V2S and Hypermoto look really fun without stupidly scary.

Came across a new term today "functionally unemployed". This is people on below minimum wage, zero hours contracts, occasional work, unpaid carers, and so on. They may have "a job" but it doesn't pay the bills.

Apart from ONS stats being untrustworthy. It's a puzzle how the UK has
- Low vacancies
- Low unemployment
- Low pay

- Huge numbers of applicants for every low paid job
- High economically inactive
- High long term sick.
- High employment rate

and finally
- High functionally unemployed

The main thing is the Scotch, Aperol and Absinthe rinse. If there's no Islay malt, just add more blended scotch. Fancy a dash of Peychauds : have at it.
