Good view tonight. According to the star map apps, Saturn is now on the horizon before it's proper dark, so if there's any sunset haze at all you won't see it. The first star in the low western sky is actually Mercury which should be above and behind Saturn. Apart from mistaking airplanes for stars, I can now definitely tick that one off. Venus, Jupiter, Mars are easy to spot in the evening sky.

New moon is 12:45am UTC, so in a couple of days the new waxing crescent will be joining them.
