The UK Right-Wing parties are going hard today on how the UK is a Christian country. The thing is we're actually an A-Religious country. 30% say they have no religion when asked. 30% were brought up in a faith but haven't though about it since they were 10. 20% know what to do in a place of worship, but only ever go for weddings and funerals. Which leaves 10% who are just getting old. It's not that we're Atheist. We're A-Religious. We're simply not interested and don't care. | |

On hands free calls, the sound quality through the mic was bad for the caller. Way too much ambient noise. Not helped that the Phonak and Boots apps are primitive and useless. Volume set in the app doesn't get remembered between charging and on-off cycles. Meaning you have to reset the volume at least once a day. Online tech support is minimal via email only. Best bet is peer support through Reddit but that's as flaky as always. | |

Doing tech support for the partner's fancy new bluetooth hearing aids. The camel's straw was not having any control over notification and ringtone volume through the HAs and it was REALLY LOUD. She doesn't listen to music or radio through headphones. So Bluetooth turned out to be useless and is now disabled. The TV connector was returned as it was too awkward. Particularly shared volume control. and when only one of us was watching sport on TV with the other next door. | |
