I heard on the BT Sport commentary yesterday that Honda have switched to a backwards rotating engine with an idler shaft like Yamaha. But I can't find anything online about this. Anyone seen anything about this? It's a major change, so less surprising that they've been having problems with set up. 

This might also explain why the Honda has a Yamaha like top speed rather than a Ducati like top speed this year. And also why they've been having problems with anti-wheelie and acceleration off the corners.
