Never mind 1.5C or 2C; those both require a time machine to go back and start reducing GHG emissions in the past, and science fiction technology to capture carbon in the future. Reality is much, much more likely to be the RCP 8.5 prediction which takes us to >2°C warming by mid century and > 4°C warming by the end of the century.
