The article is a little irritating and patronising. I'm intrigued by the Bamboo. The Citadel looks a bit awkward for sourcing ingredients and the Quinine Cobbler looks to have scary quantities of Angostura.

You don't often see Sherry (or Port) based cocktails. Can you recommend any others?

Bamboo: 40ml Fino Sherry, 40ml Noilly Prat, 2 dashes orange bitters, 2 dashes Angostura, Stirred, stem glass, lemon peel and olive.

I've occasionally wondered why it is vermouth is such a widely used cocktail ingredient and yet sherry barely gets a look in. Presumably some historical reason for this? Perhaps the lack of availability of sherry in the US in the formative era of cocktails in the early 1900s?

Have occasionally seen sherry used in a bloody mary, which I quite like, but apart from that can hardly recall it in any cocktails.
