So who gets the 2015, Pneumatic valve, Open class Honda and when? I have this suspicion there is only one bike at the moment so it's going to be doing the rounds between Hayden, Abraham, Laverty, Miller, Ahoyama.
I read somewhere that Redding was less than pleased he missed out racing the new open Honda. Honda had said it would be available for whomever was leading rider of the production racers. Then they withdrew that statement, saying no new bike would be available this season. Then, finally, here it is and Aoyama will race it.
Had they said, as a long term Honda rider and retiree it was a final thank you then I would find that perfectly understandable but given earlier statements it does look like they wanted Aoyama to have it all along. Perhaps that is disingenuous?
Thus far, the bike does not appear that much more competitive, though every little helps, I dare say but even if they had brought this machine from race 1 this season, I think the Forward Yamaha still had it beat in the open war and, arguably, even the Ducati.
