all the car manufacturers are hedging their bets that a lot if people will switch to a more personal transport, as fuel and running cost of cars increase... it's a good plan, as they try and maintain an image and create something that a brand aware buyer can have something made by the same company that makes his/her car that's in the garage for use
in the special long distant or family outings days...

Not sure this ones anything special thought...not very cutting edge... just practical...

BMW have had some pretty serious bicycles for a while now to complement their car/motorcycle/scooter range.

so an electric bicycle using the German Bosch mid-drive components is an easy jump for them. This isn't even a vanity project the way that Ducati bicycles are.

But then there's Smart, Ford, Audi with their heavily photoshopped PR prototype machines. They're the ones that puzzle me. That's some expensive PR if all they're trying to do is get in Gizmodo.
