This week's cocktail: The Classic
This one dates from 1930 or so and is somewhere between an Aviation and a Sidecar.
30ml Brandy
10ml Triple Sec
10ml Maraschino
10ml Lemon juice
Shaken with ice rocks and strained into a cocktail glass.
Adult, clean and refreshing. And in those quantities not a huge amount of alcohol.75 Trinity Rd
1 pt gin
1 pt kina lillet (although cocchi americano is more like the old lillet than the current lillet blanc)
1/2 pt lemon juice
dash of absinthe.
Swirl absinthe in a cocktail glass. Shake other ingredients well with ice and strain into glass. Enjoy.
