+Sarah Eaglesfield Interesting. I wonder if that feeds back into Google wanting Buzz to be the place where auto-posts are put and that acts as the aggregator, while Plus is for original content only. Because of course The Buzz API already has Post and also collects content from lots of other services.
Can't find the post where this was being discussed, of course.. hopefully it will appear in search tomorrow, or someone else with more information can enlighten us. I know it turned into a huge debate...

Neeveeer!
I hope Google don't ever implement this functionality, or if they do, at least allow the option of filtering "Bulk" or "Automated" posts.
The api should have a post to stream call, without it the user its limited to only use g+ to the exclusion of all others. Let there be a way to feed your twitter posts in and show the poster more people discuss their thoughts rather than retweet. Without this functionality Tweetdeck and others will not work.
+Daniel Cook The problem (as discussed elsewhere) is the Buzz problem with Plus being swamped with auto-posts from all the other services. There's an argument that the API should allow comment posts, but not originals. That would allow Tweetdeck to read the stream and for you to comment on it.
To your point +Julian Bond we are also still in limited release so how much more noise will be produced once this is open to the GP? I agree that you need to be selective in not only the people you have in circles but more so how you choose to share information among those circles. I'm here to find and develop relationships with new and interesting people not spam the world what someone else finds new and interesting.
+Julian Bond I agree with the issue that Buzz is flooded with auto-posts and no real interaction but I believe that has more to do with the lack of people interacting than the api allowing you to auto-post. Does twitter and Facebook have the same issue? Several people auto-post on both. I think the key is a community-driven approach rather than a technical solution to a social issue.
+Julian Bond I see several of your posts mentioning how noisy G+ is. I just got this Chrome extension that Chris Messina plugged and I think it really helps you scan through your feed quickly. Particularly if you set it in list mode. http://huyz.us/google-plus-me/
good content will have sufficient semantics to evolve new ways of dealing with the influx. took 10 days before an extension like G+Me was needed to cope with my modest stream levels. doesn't matter if there is central de-deduplication or post collation by then; if there is an API it will be adapted by the end-user to do that function
I hope Google don't ever implement this functionality, or if they do, at least allow the option of filtering "Bulk" or "Automated" posts.
That's was a big problem on Buzz for me.
Half conversationt from twitter.
