Varun Giridhara Love vegetarian. All those things like Bel poori and alu chat, although I never really got into Dosas. But it's hard to find outside Drummond Street (Euston, London). Otherwise, Sag Gosht and naan or daal and chapatis, or the old favourite of Chicken Tikka Biriani as long as they don't use too much red dye.

@Julian Bond, If you get chance try Bisi Bele Bath, Davanagere Benne Dosa, Idli, Mysore Masala Dosa and Maddur Vade! Karnataka (Bangalore) cuisine. Really good - Pure Veg!

isn't Indian food a little heavy, one meal is my daily calories intake! I love Italian food but not pizza or pasta, just seafood or salads. But obviously everyone has his preferences.

I don't eat kielbasa, pierogi if cooked don't have to many calories at all. I think as well people in Poland on average look thinner than for example in the UK, and the obesity rates are lower, which I think may be because of what they eat.
