Successfully changed the battery on my iPod Classic 160 without breaking it. And the case cover hides the damage. ;) Getting into the case was challenging. 3 clips on each side, 2 on the bottom, one on the top. The top one is much deeper than the others so probably easier to lift out the guts from the bottom end first. It's all a tight fit in there.
If you can't take it apart, you don't own it.
