I wonder if the reason that the Location apps like Foursquare and Gowalla have such terrible web sites is that the developers all use Macs+Safari and Safari doesn't support Gears or HTML5 geo-location? This morning's irritation. I spot a foursquare checkin on the iPod Touch. It contains a link which I want to open on the laptop. So I go to the foursquare web site AND THERE'S NO FRIENDS FEED. ARG! WHY! I mean really, WTF? Is this what internet programming has come to that we have iPhone only applications?

Good thing IMO. Why would we want to see them?

And yet I see no ads on the iPhone and none on the web site due to firefox and adblock.

It's not so much that we want to see them in Buzz. But that there's no public RSS[1] so they don't get fed into any other aggregator either. They both have built in function to post to Twitter and Facebook automatically when you checkin. But with RSS/Atom (and pubsubhub) it would be much more open and we could choose to move the data where we liked rather than where they decided to build links. Open-ness for the win.
